Cake/Dinner Tastings

Yesterday was a great day for wedding plan.

We picked our cake flavors and design, nothing too fancy for the flavor and the design is some what fun. Malik assisted with picking out the flavor and ate all of the slice in his favorite flavor.

After picking out our cake we headed over to the DoubleTree Hotel to select our entrees and salads for the reception, I think everyone should enjoy our two choices (chicken or salmon).

We even had a chance to register at Macy's yesterday for a few items and still need to work on adding more.

Flowers

So I have decided the key to a vendor for the wedding is how well they can handle Malik. By no means is he horrible at these appointments but he talks and plays during our conversation. He also is determined to have blue flowers at the wedding.

I met with a florist out of Parker last night, really liked her and she was so very helpful. I have 2-3 more florist appointments left and then I will pick someone.

Exciting news from Daniel was that we may register on Saturday!!!

Back to Planning

Returned from a wonderful trip to Sacramento Sunday and am back to working on the wedding.

Currently focused on finding just the right flowers for the wedding. There are a lot more choices than I expected, which turns out to be a great thing.

I have also booked a soloist for the church/ceremony and am working on the rest of the music for the ceremony.

Daniel and I have also meet with the DJ and are now trying to figure out a song for our first dance.

We also finished our save the date cards and our website is so close to being completed. We also have started designing both the invitations and the programs so things are really coming along nicely.

Wedding

Daniel and I were engaged in December 2008 and since then the wedding planning has gone pretty well. We have our locations selected, all dresses and tuxedos have been selected, food and cake tastings occur at the end of the month and florist appointments are over the next few weeks. A few hiccups have occurred but must of them have been resolved. I think both Daniel and I were surprised by how many people wanted to attend our Big Day and we are so thankful that we have such supportive people in our lives.
